Insurance Planning

Risk management and insurance are critical components of anyone's financial plan. Unfortunately over the last several decades countless consumers have had undesirable experiences with being "sold" insurance. Across the country and most specifically in New York, almost all insurance products are still commission based. In the State of New York, the embedded commission cost for any given insurance product is the same no matter which agent you buy from. We have made a decision to act as insurance agents and brokers and to receive commissions when we sell these products. It simply doesn't make sense to us to have to charge people separately to provide advice on these matters when, in most cases, they will then pay again an agent for the implementation work involved with acquiring an insurance policy. We do offer fee-based consulting regarding risk management and insurance, we may also be able to provide service for clients who in the past had acquired insurance through another agency when that insurance remains appropriate. We charge separately for these services, typically on an hourly basis.

We maintain relationships with many major insurance carriers representing a wide range of insurance products. These products can serve to meet a number of critical needs in securing your future and that of your family. We strive to maintain the highest degree of integrity in counseling our clients to help them select only those insurance programs, which are truly appropriate for their circumstances.

We offer to sell to our clients Life Insurance, including Term, Universal Life, First and Second to Die, and Variable Life Insurance Programs. 1

Disability Income Replacement Insurance is probably one of the most overlooked and often critically important forms of insurance. Good Disability Income Insurance policies are sometimes difficult to get. We scour the market to find competitive carriers who will offer good insurance values for our clients based upon the individual client's occupation, financial and medical situation.

Long Term Care Insurance is designed to protect you against the potential of depleting your assets in the event that you need long-term medical care and can include stay at home medical assistance. In New York State, we can offer the state's special partnership long-term care insurance plans.
